Southcoast Urgent Care Center to open in Wareham Crossing Sept. 2

Filling the space between a scheduled doctor’s visit and the hospital emergency room, the center will provide immediate, non-emergency care on a walk-in basis.

It’s equipped to treat both adults and children six months and older for ailments and injuries that do not require emergency attention.

“The main reason we’re opening is to provide patients better and immediate access to healthcare,” said Dr. Paul Iannini, Physician in Chief of Medicine at Southcoast Health. “If they can’t get immediately get into their doctor’s office, it provides a venue for them to receive care in a convenient and timely manner.
